Blue Jays is professional baseball team which is located in Toronto Canada. Blue
Jays are included in East Division of American League. Blue Jays have white and blue uniform. Blue Jays joined American League in 1977.
In the first 15 years Blue Jays were very successful under Cito Gaston team manager. The club won four East Division Titles from 1989 to 1993. In 1992 Toronto Blue Jays became the first Canadian team that has ever won a World Series. They had one of the best pitchers ever pitch Roger Clemens for Blue Jays.
When Blue Jays came into the League for the first six years they were the worst team in the league and finished last in Easter Division. They lost more then 100 games in 3 of those 6 seasons. They started very slow and not very good, Blue Jays had positive attitudes and in early 1980s they showed everyone what they are capable of doing. They became one of the best teams in the American League East Division.
Bobby Cox managed Toronto Blue Jays in 1983 and he did a tremendous job, because it was the first year that they had a winning season. In 1995 Toronto Blue Jays had an outstanding season where they pitches 3.31 ERA and it was the lowest team ERA in the American League. That’s when Blue Jays won its first Eastern Division Title that year. Bobby Cox was named American League manager of the year because of the way he improved Blue Jays. That year Blue Jays lost to Kansas City Royals in the post season, but they proved to be a good enough team to make it to post season.
Since 1993 Blue Jays just couldn’t come back up on there feat. In 1995 Blue Jays lost most of its good players when they all became free agents and joined other teams for more money. Now Blue Jays been some where at the bottom half of the American League. Maybe 2005 will be better for them, we just have to wait and see
