Rosenblatt Stadium opend its doors in 1948.The current team of Rosenblatt Stadium is the Omaha Royals and is in the Pacific Coast League. The capacity of Rosenblatt Stadium is 22,000. Rosenblatt Stadium has high marks for the Rosenblatt Stadium itself, the atmosphere is electric and the concession stands have great food. Rosenblatt Stadium is best know for the College World Series but is also well know for being a fine minor league facility. Rosenblatt Stadium is the home of the Royals AAA farm club. Although Rosenblatt Stadium has a "pieced together look" (because of all the expansions at Rosenblatt Stadium) Rosenblatt Stadium is still a great place to see a baseball game.
There are seating sections that run as far as the foul poles down each line of Rosenblatt Stadium, as well as bleacher sections in the Rosenblatt Stadium outfield. The College World Series was first played in Kalamazoo, Michigan, in 1947. Kalamazoo hosted the College World Series again in 1948. The College World Series moved the following year to Wichita, Kansas. Former President George Bush was captain of the Yale baseball team that played in the College World Series in Kalamazoo in 1948. The College World Series was first played in Omaha in 1950, where the total Rosenblatt Stadium attendance was 17805, in 2001 attendence at Rosenblatt Stadium reached 223,762 with an average attendance was 22.830 per game.
